I have received the official results of the USDAW Divisional Council election.
The paperwork has been sent out to all Candidates and branches and contains the results of all voting.
The USDAW Midlands Divisional Council had 10 positions available.
There were 19 candidates who stood for the Divisional Council.
The successful candidates were :-
Jennifer Chilton - West Midlands Morrisons No.2 - 26,703 votes
Kate Macleod - South Midlands General - 26,674 votes
Simon Eggleton - East Midlands Co-operative Group No.1 - 26,280 votes
Jacqueline Hendry - Boots Industrial Nottingham - 22,270 votes
Paul White - Worcestershire Area Co-op and Tesco - 22,071 votes
Shawney Hind - Leicester Area Tesco - 21,790 votes
Ian Bateman - Peterborough Area Tesco - 21,216 votes
Claire Thomas - North Midlands Area Tesco - 19,226 votes
Simon Willmott - Boots Logistics Nottingham - 18,507 votes
*Jon Mcewan - Ashby United Biscuits - KP Snacks - 17,384 votes
* As one of the 19 candidates withdrew their nomination for the Divisional Council Before the election procedure had concluded Jon Mcewan - Ashby United Biscuits - KP Snacks was elected as a representative onto the USDAW Midlands Divisional Council.
I would like to thank all branches who took the time to read my leaflet and voted for me.
This means so much to me and I will do my best to represent all members of USDAW in the Midlands Division.
I would like to congratulate all of the candidates who stood in the election and to congratulate all elected Divisional Councillors.
I would like to say a big thank you to the former Divisional Councillors who have stood down and to those who were not re-elected. You have all done a great job over the years "Thankyou".
I look forward to taking up my position and working with the other Divisional councillors.

On Wednesday 31st May 2017 I was elected as the Vice Chairman of the USDAW Midlands Divisional Council until 25th April 2018. I will try to update this website with information about meetings attended, courses attended, conferences attended and any other duties I do as one of your USDAW Divisional Councillors in the Midlands.
