USDAW 70th Annual Delegate Meeting 23rd - 28th April 2016

I have been at the USDAW 70th Annual Delegate Meeting 23rd - 28th April 2016

The conference went really well with lots of interesting propositions, first time speakers, interesting debates and lots of catching up with old friends and making new friends.

Guest speakers

There have been two guest speakers this year.
Jeremy Corbyn MP and Alan Johnson MP.

Both guest speakers gave really interesting speeches with lots of useful information.
The conference appreciated the guest speakers and it was clear to see that they went down well.

MENCAP

During the ADM Delegates, Visitors and Officials were asked to donate towards the MENCAP collection and have a photo taken. Thanks to various collections, events and raffles during ADM over £12,000 was raised.

USDAW BUS

The USDAW Campaign Bus was outside the ADM for a few day. This allowed delegates, visitors and officials to view the bus and take a look inside before it starts off on it's tour of the UK.

Catching up with Old Friends

Its always good to catch up with old friends that you have made at previous ADM's, Courses, Divisional Conference or Federation weekends.

On Wednesday night I finally got chance to catch up with Jeff Broome the President of the USDAW trade union and a friend of many years.
